Who Is Quantasia Sharpton? Woman Who Accused Usher Of Herpes Exposure Speaks

Quantasia Sharpton, 21 (pictured), is suing Usher for reportedly having sex with her and not telling her he had herpes

One of the accusers, Quantasia Sharpton, told The New York Daily News that she and the entertainer had romped in her hotel room two years ago while she was celebrating her 19th birthday.

Ms Sharpton claimed Usher had failed to warn her about STDs when she was "selected to go backstage after the show".

She said that if she had known that the singer had herpes, she "would have never consented" to having sex with him. Bloom also pointed to a 2012 case in which Usher settled with a woman who claimed that she got herpes from him. Two of the accusers, one of whom has tested positive for herpes, remain anonymous, but the other, Quantasia Sharpton, went public with her accusation at a news conference in NY.

As far as the lawsuits against Usher, attorney Lisa Bloom is representing three victims who claim to have had unprotected sex with the singer. She says 1 of the remaining clients - either the man or woman - has tested positive for herpes.

But once the documents were made public, a woman who said she slept with Usher in April filed a $20m lawsuit against him for giving her the disease.

After Sharpton recounted her side of the story, Bloom took to the podium to explain that the new lawsuit wasn't about herpes.

Shortly after the report came out, a woman sued Usher for $20 million, claiming that he did not disclose that he was carrying herpes before their sexual encounters. "In the event plaintiffs have contracted the herpes virus, their health may be compromised in the future as a result of the increased risk of cancer, diabetes, high-risk pregnancies, higher risk of contracting HIV and other medical conditions ..."

Summary: Usher didn't only hide his herpes diagnosis from his sexual partners, but even from his insurance company, or so the company claims.

"We spoke for awhile, and then we engaged in sexual contact", Sharpton said. According to Sharpton, following the show she and several friends returned to their hotel when she received a call from a blocked number asking her where she was staying. Bloom cited the state's law requires a person to disclose if they have a sexually transmitted disease with a partner before intercourse. Bloom said he also has not publicly denied the reports that he was diagnosed with the virus in approximately 2009. "Usher, if you are negative, please say so", she said.

He is being accused of concealing an alleged herpes diagnosis from multiple sexual partners.

Usher has not commented. Bloom added, "We hope the reports are not true".
