Injured In Dolores Park Shooting

3 shot at San Francisco's Dolores Park

The Dolores Park shooting in San Francisco Thursday afternoon left at least three people injured, two in critical condition, while hundreds ran for cover.

Another hospitalised victim is a minor and no details of his condition were being released, Andrew said.

Witness Antonia Juahahz tells ABC 7 that "I looked down at the bridge and saw a person running with a handgun in their hand", as "a group wearing bandanas and hoodies started yelling and threatening people as they crossed".

San Francisco Police Officer Grace Gatpandan says police are looking for at least one gunman who opened fire at a park and then fled.

Police have not yet released further information about their investigation.

One witness said several park regulars confronted the group before someone shouted, "They're strapped, bro!". A second later, he said, one of the men pulled out a handgun and fired six to seven rounds in rapid succession - an account confirmed by multiple witnesses. He says that in a situation like these I would have normally handle it, but I was also sure that I was going to lose my life that time.

Juhasz said she saw a man holding a gun with his arm extended, the Chronicle reported.

Juhasz claims to have seen two of the victims, one man, who appeared to be bleeding from his chest and another who was being helped by paramedics.

Juhasz added it was a terrifying moment because people were not reacting, possibly thinking the blasts were fireworks.

The park, which sits on a hill, was crowded with people, including children in a playground and running around the grass.

The shooter from the crime scene disappeared, the police are after him.
