Instagram update will let you reply to Stories with photos and videos

You Can Now Reply to Stories with Photos and Videos in Instagram

In the latest in the Snapchat/Instagram saga...

To attain the newest version of Instagram on an iPhone, head to the iTunes App Store and check for an "Update" button.

Facebook-owned Instagram may have copied the Stories feature from Snapchat but over the past couple of months, it has been rapidly firing updates for the feature to make it even more useful for those who have begun to like it more than the Snapchat counterpart. The interest in the feature has made Instagram unveil a new feature especially for Stories users.

The feature brings about an interesting shift in the Snapchat vs Instagram dynamic, too.

Today a major Instagram update was released with new ways to reply to Instagram friends. Post the update, users need to open any Story, on the top of the feed in a circular icon. So when words fail you, respond to a story with an authentic reaction video - or Boomerang, or photo. These could be anything from face filters to stickers and the Rewind function. Now using Instagram Stories has become more attractive. The responses will be sent directly to the inbox. Instagram's new feature also allows you to move and resize the Story image and insert it into your reply image. Your friend will get a message that a screenshot was taken. As of today, we are able to respond to Instagram stories with photos and videos. Android users have an extra option outside of Google Play. A lot of users began to complain of deleted accounts all of a sudden, creating a panic.

It's time to get creative, Instagrammers. Instagram is yet to resolve the issue and users continue to be logged out and their profiles appear as "disabled" to friends and followers.

To reply to a story, simply tap the camera button while watching a story.
