Google rolling out Android O beta program soon

Android Nougat sees a strong growth in the latest Android distribution data

At the show, it's likely Google will announce full details of major changes incoming with Android O. We'll also probably learn the official name for the software; Google has a tradition of naming Android versions after delicious treats.

"Thank you for your interest in the Android Beta Program!".

Despite the findings of the new report, by and large Android remains a perfectly safe and secure operating system.

The Google Play Top Developer program launched many years ago to recognize developers who created high-quality Android apps and games.

According to a new report from German software company G DATA, its security researchers discovered over 750,000 new Android malware apps in the first quarter of 2017.

More news: The OnePlus 5 is confirmed

This means that the next beta build of Android O will be released within the next few months. The first developer preview of Android O was released in March of 2017. We already know that the company has its own tradition of naming Android versions after all kinds of tasty treats. Android Nougat was still being developed to eliminate all possible bugs and improve its performance till the platform could hold. Reportedly, the feature will integrate the message text with relevant apps.

The big issue with fragmentation has to do with updates.

One app, called the Super Free Android Music Player, was found to have been downloaded between 5,000 and 10,000 times. 20 percent still use version 4.4, 32 percent version 5 and 31.2 percent Android 6.0. Instead focus on the Google Play Store.

While Google has mentioned that it plans to phase out the existing "Top Developer" badge from app listings in the Play Store, it hasn't shed light on steps being taken to highlight new apps in the future. However, down the table, the story's different when it comes to older versions of Android.

You should avoid downloading Android apps from anywhere other than the Google Play Store.
