The touch sensitive HTC U leaked: looks like the HTC U Ultra

After so many rumours about the HTC's upcoming smartphone HTC U aka Ocean Note, now fresh leaked images of the smartphone are surfacing on the internet.

If you're interested in a new HTC flagship but were underwhelmed by the U Ultra, perhaps the HTC U will be up your alley.

The U device is supposed to be the next flagship device by HTC and is set to follow the footsteps of the HTC 10.

Recently we came across a report saying that the device will come without a physical home button and a will feature a contextual UI.

Blass is generally one of the most reliable leakers, so while there's no way to confirm the picture and specs as accurate, we're fairly sure Blass is on the money here - but use the usual caution as this is still an unconfirmed leak.

What HTC is calling "Edge Sense" utilizes sensors embedded into the frame of the smartphone to create a new interaction process for mobile devices.

Further, the smartphone is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 835 SoC and will pack 4GB or 6GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage.

The phone will come with Edge Sense feature, which will allow you to control a number of customizable actions with gestures that you perform on the U's metal frame (instead of the screen).

It will also apparently feature a 5.5-inch 2560 x 1440 QHD display.

The HTC U is also expected to sport a massive 12MP Sony IMX362 sensor at the back and a 16-megapixel IMX351 sensor over at the front.

Industry insider LlabTooFeR took to twitter earlier today to state that HTC's upcoming U Ultra series flagship, now known only as the HTC Ocean, will feature IP57 protection from dust and water, and will lack the standard 3.5mm headphone jack.
